TAMEBOY (AU+VST3)

TAMEBOY™ — Intelligent Spectral & Dynamics Processor
by TRIPLE SEVEN AUDIO

Tame the harsh stuff. Keep the character.

TAMEBOY is a mixing tool built into a retro handheld console. It listens to your audio in real time, finds the harsh peaks, ringing resonances and fizzy buildup, and turns them down only while they’re happening. Everything else stays punchy and alive. Throw it on vocals, drums, bass, synths or a whole mix bus, and the sound comes out smoother and more controlled without turning dull. The LCD has a pixel critter that reacts to your sound. It gets angry and shakes when things are harsh, then chills out as TAMEBOY tames them.

THE CONTROLS

• TAME – the main engine. Pulls down harsh frequencies and resonances only when they show up
• BOOST – brings back loudness, presence and harmonics with controlled saturation
• TONE – tilts the whole sound from warm and dark to bright and crisp
• GLUE – adaptive compression that smooths out volume jumps and pulls things together
• FOCUS – picks where TAME works hardest: mud, harsh mids or piercing highs
• MIX / OUTPUT / STEREO LINK – parallel blend, final gain, and linked or independent L/R processing

4 MODES

• WILD – light touch, keeps transients and aggression
• TAME – balanced, for everyday mixing
• SLEEP – soft, slow and hazy for atmospheric sounds
• BEAST – heavy multiband compression for loud, distorted material
